World-famous car manufacture, Nissan changes their 3D chrome badge logo into complete flat design, following the path of another famous car brand BMW.
It’s not much of a surprise because, within the last 5 years, most of the business giants redesign their existing logos into modern, flat design while opening their brands to the 21st century.


In the last 20 years, Nissan 3d logo is the one used in all their physical marketing campaigns, their vehicles, and even used in digital media. But since the design trends are constantly evolving, Nissan trying to adapt their physical identity into the digital world.

Redesign Branding identity process began in 2017 when Alfonso Albaisa, Nissan’s senior vice president of global design, began to study about their physical identity and he was set up a design team that was led by Tsutomu Matsuo, deputy general manager of Nissan’s advanced design department.
The design team was working on subtle evolution or a complete reinvention of Nissan’s existing logo with given keywords “thin, light and flexible“.


Is this new Nissan flat logo is good or bad?
The simple answer is Yes, It’s really good! The new logo looks more minimalist, modern, and flat appearance with a much more premium look and perfectly works on the physical or digital world without any changes. Logo can be now using in several colors depending on the marketing campaign or the background textures.
